Norman Parish

08DELTRCD-1A – Norman Parish – WHY DELIVERANCE? 1-of-2
08DELTRCD-1B – Norman Parish – WHY DELIVERANCE? 2-of-2
Norman begins by sharing some experiences as a missionary and how he intercedes for America right now and urges all to do the same. He shares 4 reasons why God loves this nation: 1. There is a large percentage of evangelical Christians in this land. – 2. America has been the missionary forwarding agency of the world. 3. America has been a very generous nation. 4. America’s love for Israel. Demonic activity is going to intensify. Satan hates mankind. Norman shares 10 reasons why we should get involved in needful deliverance and explains each: (1) Deliverance validates God’s Word – Ps 107:20 (2) Deliverance is the only way we can cause the downfall of the kingdom of darkness – Luke 10:17-19, Matt. 12:22, Rev.12:7-11 (3) Deliverance contributes to establishing the Kingdom on earth – Col. 1:13 Demons will not leave until you get rid of them – Matt.4:23, 24, 10:7, 8 (4) Deliverance contributes to the fulfillment of the great commission – a lot of diseases are demonic; diabetes, lupus, certain cancers, etc. Mark 16:15-20, Rom 15:18-19. (5) Deliverance demonstrates the power that is bound up in the name of Jesus – Phil 2:9-10 (6) Deliverance gives continuity to the earthly ministry of Jesus – John 14:12 (7) Deliverance applies the benefits of Jesus’ work on the cross – Gal. 1:4, Heb. 2:14, Col. 2:15, Rev. 14:15 (8) Deliverance restores New Testament Christianity to the church – Joel 1:4, 2:25, Acts 3:21, Obadiah 15:17,21. (9) Deliverance convinces us of the need of the infilling of the Holy Spirit. (10) Deliverance prepares God’s people for the second coming of Christ. We need to get God’s people ready for what is coming. This message is an incentive to get involved in deliverance in order to shake satan. Our battle is not against flesh and blood but against demons behind the scene. Norman closes with prayer..

Norman Parish

08DELTRCD-2A – Norman Parish – DELIVERANCE FROM BITTERNESS 1-of-2
08DELTRCD-2B – Norman Parish – DELIVERANCE FROM BITTERNESS 2-of-2
Bitterness shows on faces in the USA. It is a subtle spirit and you think you are the victim. You don’t enjoy the good things God has given us. It is a very destructive spirit. Norman shares examples in the Bible of bitterness. Isa 38:1 – Hezekiah had it all. But at 39 years old became prey to bitterness. Isa 38:15 – the cause of his illness. God waits for us to acknowledge we are bitter. It attacks from outside, being welcomed, II Kings 18:1-15, a spirit will come in. II Chron 32:27-29. Matt 24, Sometimes those closest to us can hurt us the most. For example, Job’s home situation could have been the root of his bitterness. Job 1:8 He lost everything and had a physical illness. The only thing left was his bitter wife. Job 7:11 – Job 9:17 He blamed God. He admitted (vs. 18) to fear, bitterness, accusation. Job 10:1 – 5 times he confesses to bitterness. In order for Job to be healed and restored – He had to REPENT. Time to stop shifting the blame for some real or imagined slight, etc. “My problem is not others but myself.” Eph. 4:22 put off the old man, put on the new man. A true Christian cannot be possessed because the demons can be in the soul but not in the spirit unless we knowingly reject God. Eph. 4:31, Heb. 12:15 – others can be defiled. Much disease is caused by bitterness. Bitterness causes your sugar to shoot up. One example of results of bitterness – Is. 38:21 – not the poultice but by his obedience he was healed. Live according to the Word. II Tim. 2:10, salvation with glory; eternal glory. II Thess. 2:13, Matt. 24:31 – Relationship first, then ministry. Psalms 144:1-6 faithfulness

Bo & Jean Fisher

08DELTRCD-3 – Bo Fisher – DELIVERANCE FROM GUILT & SHAME
Bo opens with prayer. He recommends a booklet by Chris Simpson “Deliverance from Guilt and Shame”. Bo believes guilt is from sinning and shame is a painful emotion Exodus 20, Romans 3:9-19, Isaiah 53:1-6. Sometimes guilt is there so we can get free. Proverbs 4:25 without Jesus our guilt would remain. Ps.22:1, Heb. 9:6, 14, 28, I John 4:9-10, John 19:20 Jesus said it is finished – all done. Rev. 10:12, Romans 5:8, 3:23 we are justified by His grace. To take this offer of forgiveness, just believe. Lot’s son-in-law did not believe. Romans 4:23, 10:9 saved by heart confession. Romans 5:1 by faith we receive mercy. Psalms 165, 103:1 God’s character; love, forgiveness, and mercy. James 2:12-13 mercy triumphs over judgment. James 5:11 the hardness of heart is what grieves God. Exodus 34:5 God, slow to anger but punishes the guilty. The first step is in knowing the truth. I John 1:1-10 Have you owned up to your crooked ways? Prayer of confession and deliverance follows. Micah 7:18 The Holy Spirit will bring up any future needs of deliverance. Don’t go fishing, let the Lord convict of any future need. II Cor. 10:3-5 use the weapons of our warfare. Heb. 10:26 what about if you sin after being saved? Heb.6:4, II Pet. 2:20, Ps. 68:1, 85:8-9, John 5:14, 8:11. Freely forgiveness is given, go and sin no more. Ps. 89:30 if you are slow to repent, God will help you. I John 2:1 God’s first choice – be holy, not sin. Choose God’s grace when you do blow it. Jesus forgave James 5:16. Have consistent accountability; love Jesus. Prayer follows to close this teaching.

Chris Simpson

08DELTRCD-4A – Chris Simpson – DELIVERANCE FROM RELIGIOUS SPIRITS 1-of-2
08DELTRCD-4B – Chris Simpson – DELIVERANCE FROM RELIGIOUS SPIRITS 2-of-2
Luke 4 tells of Jesus’ first sermon; at the end, they wanted to kill Him. Sometimes people who really get into deliverance end up weird or religious. The only protection is to be in humble fellowship with brothers and sisters who accept correction and accountability. One of the devil’s major attacks is pride; pride is the greatest thief of the anointing. Matt 23:1-12. Chris says “Jesus is the foot-stomper; I am just going to step on toes”. Paul’s thorn in the flesh was to keep him from getting full of himself. To be a leader, you need to be a servant. Let each esteem others better than themselves. The religious spirit is so predominant today. Vs. 11 – true spiritual humility. Isa 65:2 – what God thinks of people with religious spirits. Matt 4 shows us pieces of evidence of religious spirits: vs. 2 – tend to be judgmental – living by right and wrong and should be living in Jesus, vs.10 – they are exclusive. Religious spirits tend to be drawn to religious spirits. God has called us to be a community. Christianity is meant to be 7 days a week. Vs. 32, 33 – religious spirits are full of unbelief. Four symptoms of religious spirits; find it difficult to quickly forgive people, quick to judge and slow to apply the same to themselves, tend to blame others far more than to take responsibility themselves and they often feel judged by others. Chris gives us examples of how religious spirits work in Luke 7:36-41 with key points. Jesus plus anything is demonic. Chris shares his personal Isaiah 6 experience and now he walks in the fear of the Lord. Judgmentalism towards someone is judgmentalism towards Jesus. Mark 14:3 – from the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Rom 14:10 is a picture of Paul’s freedom. The more grace the less legalism. Mercy comes as you repent – grace you cannot earn. Chris closes with a prayer to break legalism.

Ed Johnson

08DELTRCD-5A – Ed Johnson – HOW DEMONS ENTER, WHY DEMONS LEAVE 1-of-2
08DELTRCD-5B – Ed Johnson – HOW DEMONS ENTER, WHY DEMONS LEAVE 2-of-2
Ed shares the testimony of a young couple with 2 children who were newbies (new to deliverance). Our responsibility is to teach the newbies as we were taught. Jesus said everything I have done, you shall do. When we break God’s law, we open the door for demons. The devil has the same plan he has had for thousands of years; he just uses it on different people. Ed shares personal examples to illustrate in this teaching. He gives 20 characteristics of having demons: (1) Confused or disordered thinking-losing touch with reality (2) Obsessions, uncontrollable urges (3) Inability to cope (4) Difficulty making and keeping friends (5) Pattern of failure across the board (6) Prolong or severe depression (7) Immaturity, arrested development (8) Series of physical ailments (9) Neglect of personal hygiene or the other extreme (10) Difficulty adjusting to new people and places (11) Undue anxiety and worries, phobias (12) Too much or too little sleep (13) Excessive self-centeredness, no compassion for others (14) Substantial weight gain or weight loss for no explainable reason (15) Muted flat emotion – no emotion, absence of anger, inappropriate emotions (16) Negative self image – feeling of worthlessness (17) Frequent, random change of plans; failure to keep appointments, etc. (18) Extreme aggressiveness-violent, rage, combativeness or extreme docility (19) Risk taking; a key sign of demonic entity (20) Lack of zest and enthusiasm – sadness, everything negative, no sense of humor. I Thess. 5:23, Eph. 2:1, I John 5:11-12. Philippians 2:13-15 talks about the contract between us and God; demonization results when denied. Ed closes with recitation by those present taking authority over some demonic entities.

Angelo & Nancy Rosario

08DELTRCD-6 – Angelo Rosario – TRUSTING IN YOUR GOD GIVEN AUTHORITY
God’s Word stands on Its own. God will be God when we are gone. The world has a nature of its’ own. All we see, (the image of God), the devil hates. We should not have fear but power and a sound mind. Authority is given us to control who we are. Sin creates fear. It is part of the fallen nature. It makes us react; lie to ourselves. The enemy sends stronger demons (Matt. 12) because you become stronger. Luke 4:18, I John 1:5 God is in control of who you are. He has given us authority to run off spirits that attack us. We have the power and authority not to worry. In Gen 3:10 God gave us the revelation of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; who is our provider. He is calling us back to seeking Him out. The fallen flesh of man needs to be brought under control. The enemy is diseased from head to toe and when he touches you, you will be diseased. He is calling us into victory and deliverance so we can help others. There is power in the name of Jesus. You have to learn about the environment to live in it. You don’t have to know too much just obey. The religious folks killed Jesus. Breathe in the Spirit of God. Exodus 1:1, 4:13 when you are in bondage, you are in bitterness. Matthew 17 God brought Moses over into the Promised Land on the Mount of Transfiguration. God keeps His promises. Do you know the authority God has given you? The one who guides our life is Jesus.

Chris Simpson

08DELTRCD-7
Chris Simpson – PERMANENTLY CLOSING THE DOOR TO DEMONIC RE-ENTRY
Another way to say Prov 26:2 is, where there is a curse there is a cause. Chris shares a vision he had in the 80?s which was his confirmation that he needed to start a church. He says deliverance itself is not meant to stand alone. He gives an illustration that spirits occupy the ground. You have to eliminate the SIN. “When you empty the garbage the flies will leave”. It is dangerous to cast out a demon without repentance. You must have discipline in your life. What is a disciple; one that is disciplined. It is stupid to focus on the demon. When you empty your garbage, do you really care what is in it? The fruit of ministry is that people love each other. He shares 7 areas of spiritual regimen (discipline) to permanently close the door to demonic re-entry with scripture and example of each. First principle: Matt 6:14-15 – keep short accounts in your relationships. Second principle: Eph 6:18 – Lock in a daily quiet time; “an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure”. Third principle: II Tim 2:15 – fall in love with God’s Word. Fourth principle: Rom 12:1, 2 Eliminate mind junk; especially TV, his “TV verses” are Pro 15:14, 21. Fifth principle: Matt 9:15 – Build a fasting regimen in your life; demons hide in flesh and manifest through the flesh when you yield to the flesh. A healthy way to break gluttony is to fast. Chris shares personal experiences and stories on fasting. Sixth principle: Jam 5:16 – Open your life to real accountable relationships. Seventh principle: Matt 10:7, 8 at every opportunity give it away. You are in a brighter light that gets brighter as you “give it away: Focus on someone else and always say “I’m available”..

Deliverance – Questions & Answers

08DELTRCD-8
Various Ministers – PANEL: DELIVERANCE QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
An esteemed panel consisting of Jim Landry, Bo Fisher, Angelo Rosario and Ed Johnson was asked 10 questions pertaining to deliverance. Each panel member was given the opportunity to respond to each question. A few of the questions and responses will be shared here. Why can’t we cast out demons with a word like Jesus did? We can! God’s Word will not come back void. Pray and Fast. What is the difference between casting out and binding a demon? Binding is stopping and freezing them in their tracks. They have to respect the Word of God. Why do spirits get into things? They are territorial spirits and they stay in objects they feel comfortable in. How can I help my son who is saved but full of evil spirits and not open to deliverance as I see results in my grandchildren? You can take authority over your bloodline. You don’t have to see it, just believe it. With regard to territorial spirits that rule over businesses, how can we pray against them without backlash? You can’t take legal rights for a territory that is not yours. You can bind but not cast them out. Luke 9, 10:1. Many other helpful answers are given to these questions and all of the remaining questions which you can hear on the CD or DVD available from LHBC.

Angelo & Nancy Rosario

08DELTRCD-9 – Angelo Rosario – DELIVERANCE FROM FEAR & ANXIETY
The things we don’t understand we fear. God is able to deliver us from all our fears. There are demons out there that we are to war against. The enemy likes to put fear in our lives. It is a terrible thing to live in a condition that we do not fear the Lord. The Lord, our provider. I John 4:18 When we have God’s perfect love in us we have no fear. Fear is a place we go where we have no faith in God. We have to train our people to not live in fear. The enemy tries to impart fear in the ministry. When you fall away from God, the pit of hell opens up. God told Moses, Joshua, Jeremiah, and others, to fear not. The Lord is our supplier. Fear sometimes stops us from what God calls us to do. The only good thing we have is Jesus. We have authority to keep demons from coming in. If the Holy Spirit is not guiding us we cannot do what God is asking us to do. The name of Jesus will destroy the hosts of hell. Luke 10:7 every demon has to submit to the name of Jesus. Meditate on the Word day and night. Is the Spirit of the Lord upon you? Rom 8:15-17 Die with Christ to be able to live. To be victorious we have to believe it. Rom 8:16.
