My Change of Heart

By Kevin, LHBC staff

http://lhbconline.com .

God offers the human race every solution in one package,
The label on the package is JESUS.
If you want the baptism of the Holy Spirit come to the Baptizer.
Salvation come to the Savior.
Healing come to the Healer.
Deliverance come to the Deliverer.
It will be the same person of Jesus every time.

Jesus rose from the dead and He said He would send us the comforter – The Holy Spirit.

God the father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. All three are one.

It was the Holy Spirit who inspired the writing of the Bible.

2 Peter 1:21 KJV

For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.. That’s Amazing!

I really like how the Amplified Bible reads in 2 Tim 3:16-17

16 Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action),

17 So that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Gifts of the Spirit are in I Cor. 12:

The evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit, is the gift of tongues.

The gift of tongues opens the door to all the other gifts.

I’m mainly writing to those who have the baptism of the Holy Spirit, but may have not used your prayer language, (gift of tongues) as much as you used to.

Take some time each day, ALONE!

Just you, and Jesus.

Pray in tongues (your prayer language), till your mind is free from all distractions, and you’re keenly focused on Him.

This can also be a type of warfare to press through, because the enemy of your soul will try and distract you, and make you think of so many things you need to go do first.

Speak in your prayer language, and press in past all that.

Soon, His presence will start to fill your soul.

Whatever is bothering you, tell the Lord in detail.

He knows it all, but wants you to bare your heart to Him.

He just wants our fellowship!

There is a reward for seeking Him, and leaning on Him.

Praying in the Spirit

Taking time to pray in the Spirit (your prayer language)

It’s you speaking, but it’s the Holy Spirit giving the utterances.

When in His presence, if there is something in your heart He wants you to repent about at the moment, just obey and do that.

Take the time, and really tell Him your heart.

Ask the “Holy Spirit to shine his light on your heart.

When repenting, don’t group everything together and just say, “Lord forgive me for all my sins”.

But take time and NAME those sin(s).

Look how a “deeper repenting” reads in PS 32:5 (Amplified Bible)

“I acknowledged my sin to You, and my iniquity I did not hide. I said, I will confess my transgressions to the Lord [continually unfolding the past till all is told] — then You [instantly] forgave me the guilt and iniquity of my sin.”

Praying in the Spirit helps us in our infirmities.”

Rom 8:26 KJV
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered..

“infirmities” in the Greek in the Strong’s is:

From Strong’s #769 & #770

#769 – Feebleness (of body or mind) by impl. malady; mor. :- diseases, infirmity, sickness. weakness.

It’s interesting to me it says “Feebleness of mind.” It’s listed under “infirmities.”

I wonder if that can apply to senior moments too. Praying more in the Spirit might help that as well.

#770 – (fig. and mor.) more feeble, impotent, sick, without strength, weak (-er, -ness, thing).

There is a time of praying in the Spirit, waiting, praising, worship, reading, and singing.

..

Praying in the Holy Ghost does 3 things in Jude 20-21:

Builds yourself up on your most holy faith,”

Helps to keep yourself in the Love of God.

Helps you to look for mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, unto eternal life.

.
Jude 20-21 KJV

20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life..

.

Your Secret Place In Him!

“The Holy Spirit enhances our personality.

For those who were hard as nails, He brings a gentleness to our hearts.

For the timid He gives us measures of boldness.

The Holy Spirit convicts us when we have a bad attitude.

He makes us go to that brother or sister to ask them to forgive us, and puts a calmness in our hearts to take any reproof that they might give, because they’re not over it yet.”

This is your own secret place by yourself with Him.

Until you begin to make this a habit you won’t know what fellowship could be waiting for you.

There is nothing like being in the presence of the Lord, and enjoying the peace of God flooding your soul.

It’s here in His presence He might flash a person to your mind He wants you to pray for, even if you don’t know them. He might even wake you up at night with a  picture of someone. That’s His prompting for you to pray in the Spirit for them.

Praying in the Spirit, (your prayer language), You’ll always pray perfectly in the will of God..

One time I was praying in the Spirit and I saw, like a vision.

For me, the Holy Spirit is often times still dealing with my heart issues, and the influences from my past too. I didn’t grow up in Church. While I did get saved at 15, I was a troubled youth too. I needed a lot of deliverance.

This one, was about forgiving someone I knew back “before” I was even saved.

A while back I was in the shower praying in the Spirit, I had this memory flash of a boy I went to school with in 6th grade that was a bully to me.

I saw him clearly. I knew him by name.

The Holy Spirit does this to me when I least expect it.

I turned the water off, and out loud I repented of all the anger I had toward Randy, and all the fights we had, and being sent to the principal’s office to get a paddling many times. (They did that in the late 1960’s).

He just would not leave me alone.

I said his name out loud. I forgive Randy.

Jesus, please cleanse me from all of this sin, and the hurt, fear and anger I opened myself up to. I ask You to bless Randy if he’s still alive, and I ask you to save his soul.

The Lord helped me to close another spiritual door by repenting, till He shows me something else down the road.

I’m sure He will.

I believe He just wants me to surrender as I keep crying out to him for more deliverance.  “I keep giving the “Holy Spirit permission to change my heart.”.

I just trust Him to fix me, and perfect that which concerns Him.

I don’t want to keep going around the mountain and not learn what I need in learning to be an overcomer in this life.

It’s here in His presence that you will find the mind of the Lord, and know your place in the body of Christ.

It’s here in His presence where the Holy Spirit will teach you His voice, which is something we really need to learn these days when men’s hearts are failing them for fear of what might be coming.

I believe as we keep receiving more deliverance ministry in our lives, this extra personal time of fellowship with Him will help us walk more softly in the leading of the Holy Spirit, and knowing His voice, and learn to pray with others, and who might ask us to pray.

It’s here in His presence He will give you the “WILL” to press on in your Christian walk.

Phil 2:13-15 KJV
13: “For it is God which worketh in you both to “will” and to do of his good pleasure.

14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings: (That’s not complaining)

15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;”

The Holy Spirit is this anointing oil that lights our lamp, that the world will see, as we keep getting set free ourselves.

Without daily times in His presence, I’ll soon dry up.

In time, I won’t feel convicted about much of anything.

That’s just where the enemy of our soul wants us to stay.

Spiritually numb!

We’re all going to be bearing SOME KIND of fruit in this life.

Tap into His amazing fellowship, by praying in the Spirit, and bear the “God kind of fruit” that only He can grow.

Heart Issues

By Kevin, LHBC staff

Keep getting better at repenting.

If you recently said something that you wished you hadn’t out of anger, or even lost your temper.

Take time FIRST and repent and give the Lord ALL OF IT.

Don’t be lured into the blame game.

Don’t wait for people to change, because they probably won’t!.

The Lord does the changing in our hearts first, as we forgive.

If something else in your heart is still bugging you, ask the Holy Spirit to turn the light on in your heart. He will, but you need to ask Him. Stop and wait, and let Him speak to your heart concerning it.

Pray out loud, to forgive naming the person(s) you’re forgiving.

God requires us to pray and bless our enemies too – Matt 5:43-44 KJV

That’s praying that the Lord will bless them.

That’s not blessing them with a brick.

Or praying your will against them.

That’s clearly witchcraft!

If you can’t feel care for them, then you still need to repent some more.

Repenting is how we close the doors so the demons can’t re-attack and torment us later. Get all that wrath ill-will out of your heart in your prayer closet.

You need to be settled in your heart before meeting those people later.

You need “a soft answer.

That’s the “real change of heart” to me.

Because those people might not be over it yet, and just might have a few choice words to say back to you.

Other wise you might flare up, and may make the whole problem even worse.

Prov 15:1 KJV
15:1 A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.

The weed seeds of not forgiving

By Kevin, LHBC staff

Not forgiving might start out with just being a little offended by someone.

Them saying something offensive.

Maybe someone teased you badly.

Or made to look foolish in public.

A prank that got out of hand.

Whatever.

We don’t feel quite right about it.

Those tiny little seeds of “ill-will” just need you to water them in your mind.

If you don’t “choose to forgive” pretty quick, you’ll start rehearsing it over and over in your head.

This stuff just creeps up.

I found I was soon “shadow boxing with myself”.

Well if they said this, then I’ll come back with this…

Back and forth, till I’m getting really worked over in my head..

If you can catch on quickly when this starts, you’ll save yourself a whole lot of heart ache later.

This rehearsing will go on, and on for as long as I don’t forgive.

These are real tormenting spirits, and infect us all differently.

In time, it all festered in me too.

While this testimony is many years ago. It’s all true.

I know I let people get to me.  I took the offence.

And I made it personal.

I got to the point where “I thought“, and out of my mouth I repeated the following words out loud:

“Who wants’ to go to heaven with a bunch of Christians I don’t even like to hang out with”.

That was the beginnings of “bitterness” speaking right out of me.

It took time, but I finally saw it.

But because I let it roll around in my mind so long, it took many trips before the Lord in a deeper repentance before I finally didn’t have a bad attitude.

Even sometimes today, I may get an old thought that still might have a feeling attached to it. I hope I still keep catching on and quickly cast done that thought.  Shut up Devil! Get out of here in the Name of Jesus. I tell myself and the devil out loud – I have already forgiven these people.  I have to turn the battle at the gate, if I still want to be overcomers in this life.  We are the ones who become crippled if we don’t “choose to forgive”.

It effects all our relationships.

For my own health sake I had to forgive and let it go.

Thankfully I’m still here learning to be an overcomer.

This audio message below also helped me too.

00LHCD4-7 – Mildred Coffey – CASTING OUT THOUGHTS
For as he thinks in his heart, so is he (Proverbs 23:7). “Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become you.” The battleground is the mind. Cast out those thoughts that the enemy is trying to plant in your mind so that they cannot take root and spring up to bear evil fruit in your life.
