00DELTRCD-10 – Chris Simpson – HOW TO KEEP YOUR DELIVERANCE
We must identify the cause of the curses to eliminate them and to keep our deliverance. We also have to adopt and maintain spiritual discipline. Chris gives us seven steps to keep our deliverance. They include; keeping short accounts, having a daily quiet time, falling in love with the word, eliminating mind junk, building a fasting regimen in your life, open your life to real accountable relationships, and minister to others.
00LHCD12-2 – Chris Simpson – WHAT IS A PURE HEART?
Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Using the verses of Psalm 15, Chris Simpson goes into detail about the ten characteristics of a pure heart, which is needed to abide in the presence of God. A power of anointing comes with hating evil, which is the same as fearing the Lord.
00LHCD12-3 – Chris Simpson – FROM FULL OF FEAR TO FULL OF FIGHT
Chris uses the ordeals of the Israelites after their escape from Egypt to illustrate the process God puts us through, to see what’s in us. He puts us in tight situations to find more out about ourselves. He wants us to know that He’s in charge, that He allows us to get in tight squeezes, and that He always makes a way. An inspiring message!

01LHCD7-5 – Chris Simpson – ESCAPING THE SLIME OF SELF-PITY
Using the parable of the prodigal son in Luke 15:25, and other scriptures, Brother Simpson shares examples in the Bible of self-pity and its effects. Self-pity is pride turned inward, a more deadly form of pride. It is a spiritual childishness, that occurs from not getting what you want, or getting something you don’t want. It often manifests itself through anger. Learn how to recognize this pervasive spirit!
01LHCD7-11 – Chris Simpson – SPIRITUAL WARFARE THAT WORKS
“Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7. These are two parts that make up warfare; submitting yourself to God, and resisting the devil. We need balance in our spiritual warfare. Most believers are out of balance. Believers either put the emphassis on God and none on spiritual warfare, or they focus too much on demons, and get caught in a revolving door of deliverance. Passivity is the greatest enemy of God. We have to discipline our flesh to fight warfare as effectively as possible.

Chris Simpson – DELIVERANCE OF CURSES BY UNCONDITIONAL LOVE
The greatest commandment is that we love each other. God wants to mature us into unconditional love – where we love in spite of everything. The power of love can deactivate curses. Love is the only law you need – it fulfills all His other requirements. His law must be kept!

Chris Simpson – PRIDE CAN MAKE YOU AND KEEP YOU SICK 2-of-2
Keeping God’s Word will provide length of days, He does not want our lives to be cut short. Dishonoring our parents can bring sickness and curses. Even television can allow the entrance of demons. Adopting a disciplined regimen of fasting should be an important part of our spiritual life. Many times people with a spirit of pride will not come in for deliverance. We must have a meek and teachable attitude in order to be healed.
01LHCD12-17 – Chris Simpson – EXPOSING THE SPIRITUAL ROOTS OF SICKNESS
Many times, but not all, demons are involved with sickness. Sickness and disease can also be related to sin. Often the spirit of infirmity can hide with other spirits. Pride, bitterness, or unforgiveness are often causes of illness. The root could also be generational. You need to pray for discernment, being quiet often enables the gifts of the Holy Spirit. When you walk in righteousness, you can withstand the illness, and you increase the ability of the Lord to heal you.
01LHCD12-19 – Clement Humbard – GETHSEMANE – GABBATHA – GALGATHA
Chris Simpson – BLESS THE LORD – Join us for the Watchnight service and communion, beginning with praise and worship in song led by Christel Beckley and Bob and Juanita Banker. God never speaks unless it is for instant obedience. If you want to be a part of the Shekinah Glory when it comes, you need to fall into your Gethsemane, and follow Him to your Gabbatha – your judgment hall. Chris talks about how to have a demon – free day. How? To bless the Lord at all times! Daniel made a commitment to stop and worship the Lord three times a day.

02LHCD7-13 – Chris Simpson – DEFEATING STUBBORN STRONGHOLDS
A stronghold is a power base for future demonic occupation. We need to understand the strategies and methods of the enemy in order to defeat him. Unforgiveness and bitterness open the doors to demons more than anything else. The enemy has a clear plan to keep us bound. We must commit ourselves to a lifestyle of praise and worship...
02LHCD7-15 – Chris Simpson – JESUS MOVES IN – STUFF HAS TO GO
God has specific designs for where and how He would abide among His people. Your body is a temple of the LORD. The LORD’s desire is to not just be in us, but to live inside of us. Certain things must go if He is going to live in us. God cannot coexist with evil. Let Him make your soul a place of intimate conversation with Him!
02LHCD7-18 – Chris Simpson – RELATIONSHIPS BEFORE MEN
Respect is the secret to every relationship. When we stand up for Jesus, we earn the LORD’s respect. He loves us, but He wants to be able to respect us. God always wants to give us peace. We must be willing to live out the gospel, to stand up for what’s right. That is how we earn the LORD’s respect. God is always looking for somebody somewhere who will stand up for the truth!
02DELTRCD-1 – Chris Simpson – DO YOU REACT TO HURT OR RESPOND TO LOVE?
Our relationships with others tend to manifest demons that may not have shown themselves otherwise. Christianity is about relationships, and learning to love. We need to be delivered from hurt, so that we don’t react any more to hurt, but can respond with love. Learn how to recognize this snare, and to find freedom. You will never get completely free from demons if Jesus is not LORD of all areas of your life.
02DELTRCD-7 – Chris Simpson – EXORCISING PLACES & OBJECTS
A message on the demonization of inanimate objects and steps to exorcize places and things. Places are often demonized very similarly as people are, particularly homes. It is important that we identify and break curses, because they provide legitimate ground for the demonic. Bringing certain objects into your house will bring a curse. The first step is to recognize, admit and confess areas of sin and bondage that may have brought on the demonic infestation.
02LHCD12-13 – Chris Simpson – RECEIVE CORRECTION OR BE DECEIVED
We are all given a choice whether to receive correction or not. In an environment with very little personal correction, there is very little growth. Reading mainly from the Proverbs, Brother Simpson shares with us this absolutely essential part of Christianity. Many people despise correction, maybe not even consciously, but in their heart. Learn reasons why people don’t want to receive correction and how to overcome them..

Chris Simpson – DELIVERANCE FROM ADDICTIONS AND COMPULSIONS
The demons won’t leave until the truth is received in our spirit. They will leave when there is nothing left inside to hold onto. Learn some basic principles to set yourself free. You must realize that it takes more than your own strength to overcome addiction. Your acknowledged weakness is the key to overcoming. The power of Christ is the only thing that can overcome addictions.

03LHC07-3 – Chris Simpson – UNCLEAN SPIRITS – HOW TO GET THEM OUT
Deliverance is a serious need in our country. Deception often keeps people from receiving deliverance. Using Scriptural examples and years of personal experience, Brother Simpson teaches us about the five major areas unclean spirits get in, and how to get them out.D7-11).
03LHCD7-11 Chris Simpson – WHY GOD AT TIMES HEALS, & AT TIMES DOES NOT
Healing is a phenomena of the will of the LORD. Even Jesus did not have a formula for healing; it was done on the basis of the power of the Holy Spirit. In order to receive healing, your life must be submitted to the commandments and requirements of the LORD. Healing must be approached with humility and wisdom.
03DELTRCD-5 – Chris Simpson –
THE LONG TERM RESULT OF CURSING OR JUDGING YOUR PARENTS
Brother Simpson explains both the positive and the negative effects of dishonoring your parents by scorning, mocking, rebelling, robbing or failing to show respect. He uses many scriptures showing the results can be spiritual blindness, sickness, poverty, and arrested development (failure to mature). He then outlines the scriptural cure for past mistakes and the proper scriptural response to hurts and offences, to bring peace.. .
II Corinthians 3:5 *”Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God.” Brother Simpson shows by many scriptures that self-sufficiency opens the door to pride. God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. The Lord told Paul that His grace was sufficient for all problems. Brother Simpson shows by many scriptures how to deny self-sufficiency (i.e. flesh) and walk in God’s grace by the Spirit.
James 4:6-7 *”God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Therefore submit (yourself) to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” Brother Simpson introduces the subject of the characteristics of a spiritual warrior. As noted in James 4:6-7 a spiritual warrior is one who is humble and submitted to God. He is also one who actively resists the devil. Using many scriptural examples he shows how one must not be passive but actively resist the enemy on all fronts. An excellent study of the necessity of facing the enemy and pulling down his kingdom.

04LHCD7-10 – Chris Simpson – HOW GOD TURNS SINKING SAND INTO A ROCK
Mark 11:22 “So Jesus answered and said to them ‘Have faith in God’.” Brother Simpson shows five steps to moving in the supernatural. The first step as in Luke 5:4-8 is to be willing to be used by God. Then we must reserve time to hear the voice of God. Then when we hear God we must obey. Then as in Matthew 14:44 we must act on the empowered word and follow through not taking our eyes off Jesus so we will not sink. If we look at the circumstances in the world and forget the empowered word we will fail. Lastly we must depend on Jesus through the ministry of the Holy Spirit to bring to pass what He has promised.
04LHCD7-13 Chris Simpson – SPIRITUAL REALITY
Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding.” Brother Simpson opens with the above scripture not to lean on your own understanding but in all your ways acknowledge Him and he will direct your paths. He shows that natural man’s understanding is darkened and one must seek spiritual understanding. Most struggles in Christian life originate with a spiritual attack on the mind. These fiery darts cause many problems and the spiritual reality behind them should be exposed and neutralized. He then concludes with a plan to avoid the pitfalls of following our plan and not God’s.
04DELTRCD-1 – Chris Simpson – DELIVERANCE IS FREE
Brother Simpson begins by showing that a Christian can be oppressed by demonic forces. He outlines a six point program to lasting freedom. (1) Repentance – making up your mind about sin (2) Put away idols and accept the fact you must change (3) Prepare your heart for God – commit and be disciplined (4) Serve Him only – make Him LORD (5) Fast (6) Cry out to God and He will hear.
04LHCD12-8 – Chris Simpson – AUTHORITY OF SUBMISSION
Chris lays a Scriptural foundation for the various types of authority and how spiritual authority is gained by submission to God’s appointed authority in your life. He starts with the centurion in Mt 8:8 and then covers pastors and apostles (Heb 13:7,17) and family relationships (1 Pet 3:1, 1 Tim 2:25). Using Ex 23:20-21, he illustrates 3 points of authority of submission.
04LHCD12-12 – Chris Simpson – OVERCOMING JUDGMENTALISM
Judgmentalism is condemning and passing judgment on your brother. There is a difference between testing all things and passing judgment. This message identifies the 3 most common types of judgmentalism prevalent in the church and what 4 symptoms to look for in a person plagued by this problem. Pastor Chris uses the parable in Luke 7:36 to demonstrate the symptoms of judgmentalism. He concludes by outlining 4 steps to overcome this problem and gain victory.

05LHCD7-10 – Chris Simpson – A LIE WILL FOLLOW YOU FOREVER
John 8:44 -Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. If you believe the lie of the enemy it can hinder your ability to hear God clearly. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. (Jn. 18:37) (1 Tim 4:1-2) This can cause you to be unstable and tossed about by every wind of doctrine (Eph 4:14) Bro. Chris presents Scriptural foundation for one to know the truth and be set free.
05LHCD7-13A – Chris Simpson LISTENING TO THE ENEMY’S LIES 1-of-2
05LHCD7-13B – Chris Simpson LISTENING TO THE ENEMY’S LIES 2-of-2
Bro. Simpson discusses Ps 119:67,71,75 to show that tribulation and trials purify the saints and bring revelation of God’s purpose. He then uses the book of Jonah to show how the devil lies can cause you to come into tribulation and peril. But when you turn from the deception of the lie, then deliverance ministry follows.
05DELTRCD-5A – Chris Simpson – THE JEZEBEL/AHAB SPIRIT 1-of-2
05DELTRCD-5B – Chris Simpson – THE JEZEBEL/AHAB SPIRIT 2-of-2
Rev 2:20 “Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.” Bro. Simpson starts this study of the Jezebel/Ahab spirits with an indepth profile of the relationship of King Ahab and Queen Jezebel of Israel. He then reviews the Scriptural relationship of authority between men and women and shows how the Godly relationship ordained by God is altered by Jezebel/Ahab activity. He explores and links various disorders in the marriage relationship to the disorder in the Jezebel/Ahab relationship. Bro. Simpson defines nine characteristics of the Jezebel spirit and their root causes. He closes with a four-step program to break free of these spirits in your life and relationship.
05LHCD12-5 – Chris Simpson HEALING BY THE SPIRIT NOT BY FORMULAS
Mark 1:41 And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth His hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean (healed). Chris analyzes the ministry of Jesus and the apostles for examples of how the Holy Spirit directed them in their healing ministry. He shows that healing is not by fixed formulas or techniques but by following the Spirit’s direction. Various examples are then discussed; laying on hands (Mark 16:15); petition (Luke 5:12); command (Acts 3:6); declaration (John 4:46-50); rebuke (Luke 4:38-39); bind and cast out demons (Mark 6:13); and other examples. He then discusses how to find the will of God for each case.
05LHCD12-6 – Chris Simpson – ROOT REASON WHY YOU GET SICK
James 5:14-16 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Chris analyzes the above Scriptures in detail. First, a person must confess that he or she is ill, as blind Bartimaeus did in Mk 10:46-52, to receive healing from Jesus. You must be in a local church where the pastor or elders are available to anoint you and pray the prayer of faith. The word translated “save” is the Greek 5020 which indiates conviction of sin and being in right relationship with God. As the Holy Spirit moved to convict of sin and bring repentance, then sins are confessed and forgiven that healing may occur. Chris discusses how sin, yours or your ancestors, bring on sickness, but after conviction, confession and forgiveness, healing occurs. Deliverance and healing ministry concludes this teaching.

WHY GOD AT TIMES HEALS AND AT TIMES DOESN’T 1-of-2
05LHCD12-10B – Chris Simpson
WHY GOD AT TIMES HEALS AND AT TIMES DOESN’T 2-of-2
Pro 3:7-8 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. It shall be health (medicine) to thy navel (body), and marrow to thy bones. If you read the verses 1-2, you find this is about finding healing and peace. Today, we are taught to take healing verses out of context and rely on a formula that is not Scriptural. In Pro 4:20-22 the word health or medicine again appears in the context of being attentive to God’s Word and directives and healing and health will follow. Rebellion brings a cruel messenger (evil angel) against you (Prov. 17:11) so if you are in rebellion against God or His appointed authorities (pastor, boss, parents, etc.) then this must be corrected before healing. God answers deep heart felt cries for help as with Miriam (Num 12:10) and Hezekiah (2 Kings 20:1). Realize God looks at the heart and heals when the heart is corrected as in Isaiah 58:8. This is an excellent message for those in the healing ministry and those who are suffering from chronic disease.

06LHCD7-7 – Chris Simpson – GET IT OUT, OR IT’S OUT TO GET YOU
“Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” (2 Cor. 2:11) Chris points out that verse is preceded by a word about forgiveness. Know that if you want to be free of Satan’s devices, one of the necessities is that you forgive. “To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ.” In John 20:22-23, after Jesus breathes on the disciples and they receive the Holy Ghost, says, “Whosoever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whosoever sins ye retain, they are retained.” We can bind and loose people by forgiveness or not forgiving. He also tells the listener about the necessity of getting the demons out, especially since, if you don’t get rid of them, they will multiply. We have to get them out! He points out that if you don’t pull the roots of these problems out, you will continue to have the fruit they produce. If we leave the door open, eventually the enemy will take advantage. Sin opens the door. We must get it out!
06LHCD7-11- Chris Simpson – 10 CLASSIC LIES OF THE DEVIL
David was forgiven but there were consequences to what was sown. We can be ignorant of the devil’s devices and he can take advantage of that. This message contains ten points showing how satan lies to us. He lied to Cain so that he believed God played favorites. He lied to David that he wouldn’t reap what he had sown. In another example satan tempted with, “maybe God didn’t mean what He said.” We can rationalize and reason our way out of obedience. Other lies are, God won’t protect me, or I don’t have it in me to keep up the battle. He shows us that from the very beginning in the Garden of Eden, satan is always trying to get us to listen to his lies and not to trust what God told us is truth. One of satan’s favorites to use is “You’re a miserable looser.” He shares Luke 22:61 where Peter denied the Lord and comments that no doubt, satan used that to really kick Peter when he was down. This is a practical message that will help you to be aware of when the enemy is setting you up to believe a lie. If we trust God and don’t believe these lies, we will overcome.

WHY MOST STUDIOUSLY AVOID DELIVERANCE 1-of-2
06DELTRCD-1B Chris Simpson
WHY MOST STUDIOUSLY AVOID DELIVERANCE 2-of-2
This message begins with a brief testimony of how God brought him into deliverance. It is this speaker’s opinion that the reality of the God’s supernatural is a rare experience in most churches today. Chris expounds on 7 reasons why Christians avoid deliverance by using 1 Samuel 13 as his text. Chris looks at why people avoid deliverance so we can avoid the traps and deceptions of the devil that could possibly knock us or others out of the way. There is a tremendous anointing for healing at the conclusion of this service.
06DELTRCD-8
Chris Simpson – PRACTICAL APPROACHES IN MINISTERING DELIVERANCE
Chris begins by telling us he will be speaking particularly in the context of a pastoral environment with a unique slant on the teaching. He believes this is the most effective way to minister deliverance. He shares his personal experiences on practical approaches to deliverance as a pastor. Chris gives some fundamental principles with many analogies both from Scripture and his experiences as follows: 1) Past hurts, wounds and issues are healed through present day choices, 2) Do a link – the person needs accountability for choices so he has a follow up meeting in about 2 weeks. 3) What does it take to know a person is ready for deliverance? – Psalms 38:16-19 – desperation is seen all through the scriptures and gives examples. 4) Deal with what opens the door to demons. 5) You need wisdom and strategy. 6) We have to deal with areas of ground referencing 4 verses (Matt 6:12, Luke 9:59, Acts 19:17 and Gal 3:16) with the names of grounds listed also. He suggests sessions should not last over 90 minutes. He highly recommends the manual “Preparation for Personal Deliverance” which is available from LHBC for a small price. He uses the manual to help identify strongholds when people come in for deliverance. Chris closes summing up practical approaches to dealing with deliverance and explanations of each: 1) Deal thoroughly with the ground, 2) Invite the Holy Spirit to come, 3) Begin to command firmly taking authority, 4) Post-prayer ministry – pray for infilling of Holy Spirit and speak the reality of the Holy Spirit into the person’s life.
06LHCD12-4 – Chris Simpson – KICKING OVER A MAJOR SACRED COW
Chris begins by telling us people have their little “pet” belief system. We need to go to the Word of God like a little child and look at verses for their face value. Know the truth and the truth will set you free. Romans 6:14 gives us the key to be free from sin. The whole book of Galatians is about the legalistic attack of satan. Then Chris begins kicking over sacred cows. He gives us scripture and shows the sacred cows involved. For instance, he said being born again is not a guarantee of heaven. In Matthew 7:14 Jesus said narrow is the gate and straight is the way. A heresy started about 50 years ago that you should write in your Bible when you were saved and refer to it. Saved is eternal life not eternal event. Chris explains that Eve believed satan when he told her she would not die if she ate the fruit, so she ate it. People today believe the same way. If they don?t think they will die for committing a sin, they do it. It is better to live a conformable not comfortable life. When you take up your cross daily, be ready to lose your life. You are a threat to demons. Our churches today are playing “tiddly winks”. Witches and homosexuals, among other things, are accepted. No where in the book of Acts is God’s love preached; it is His wrath and mercy. Whoops, another sacred cow! Chris gives several scriptures on eternal salvation and how to be eternally secure also with a definition of eternal life in Romans 6:22. Chris sums this teaching up kicking over a major sacred cow permeated in our culture. And the biggest one of all has to do with people’s eternity. He challenges us to search the Word to speak to our spirit and be warned, admonishing us to wake up! The true gospel is a true believer must endure to the end and remain faithful to God in the Kingdom. Chris ends with prayer and congregational deliverance.
06LHCD12-7 – Chris Simpson – CORRECTION OR DECEPTION
Chris teaches it is necessary to put ourselves in an environment where we can receive correction. Correction and rebuke are necessary to grow up in Christ. We never get too old for correction and reproof. The local church should be spiritual parental guidance for the family of God. Chris gives scriptures in Proverbs concerning correction and reproof. Also the definition of wisdom is knowing a need for correction. And a man’s character is best determined by his acceptance for correction. We are to lose our life in the context of others to find our life in the Lord. God wants us to die to ourselves then He will raise us up in the newness of life. The purpose of pressure is promotion. He gives examples in I and II Samuel of David heeding correction and being corrected by those under his authority (Joab). Chris uses more references in Proverbs concerning the local church and danger of not listening to correction. He says our culture is an abusive culture. Chris concludes with prayer asking the Lord for forgiveness for times we have hardened our hearts to correction and reproof.

WALKING IN RIGHT CHOICES WHEN YOUR FLESH IS SCREAMING
This is one of the finest messages we have ever heard on temptation. To repent is to feel so contrite about sin that you will not do it again. God is not impressed with our speech it’s what we do that counts. In the moment of temptation is when true repentance is glimpsed. Mt 6:13 and Mt 26:44, God knows how we stand, look into a hole and fall into it. Don’t seek out a temptation, they will find you. Our daily temptations have eternal consequences. Examples used were Joseph he resisted and saved a nation. David’s son yielded, and divided a nation. James 1:2 Have wisdom in the face of temptation. Sometimes God gives us “pop quizzes”. When you pass you get promoted. I John 3:22 Our Father loves us all but gives greater responsibility to those who obey. Walking in the discipline of the Lord is being in God’s favor. James 1:12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation. Grow up so your life will have reverberating results around the world. A prayer for wisdom follows. Chris, as always, delivers the message with humor that can make a hard word easy to receive.
07LHCD7-14 – Chris Simpson – PAYING THE PRICE FOR POWER
In Luke 4, after Jesus’ first sermon, they were ready to kill Him. God’s ways and thoughts are above ours. Isa 55:6-9 Chris says we have superficial Christianity across our land. He explains teaching from the tabernacle. Using Lev 16, he shows we have outer and inner court believers. 1 John 2 – It is satan’s intent to keep God’s people in the nursery. In each court we see the requirements, the anointing and the judgments. In Num 20:7-12, trivial disobedience got Moses and Aaron in trouble. They had higher responsibility, more accountability, and heavier judgment. 1 Chron 21:1-4, David, also an inner court guy, had a stiffer judgment – 70,000 died. Maybe you want outer court responsibility with inner court anointing. Are you willing to pay the price for power? Such as willing to fast every other day? David Hogan does and God raises the dead through him. We have been in the outer court too long. We are on a journey. The key – we are not doing what the Holy Ghost is saying – and that is, that we obey Jesus!

OBEDIENCE IN AN AREA BRINGS AUTHORITY IN A REALM 1-of-2
07DELTRCD-2B – Chris Simpson
OBEDIENCE IN AN AREA BRINGS AUTHORITY IN A REALM 2-of-2
Chris begins this session pointing out that obedience is a basic principle of Christian living. Teaching from Luke 16:10-12, he lists 3 facets of obedience: (1) Faithfulness in the little things. (2) Faithful with money. God will provide if you are faithful. (3) Submission to authority. Obedience is essential to deliverance. It is the opportunity to live in a higher realm. In 1 Samuel, David, who was faithful to defend the sheep from a lion and a bear, was later given an anointing to save nations. He first learned to be faithful with the responsibilities of the sheep. God is waiting for us to do exploits of faith. They release God’s power. He is not going to equip you with much until you are faithful with the little. In 2 Kings 13:14-19, the passion expressed in a little act brought authority in the battle. How much authority and anointing do you want in your life? There is no limit in the Kingdom. How big is your vision? As you love, love will come back to you. God will send you to ones with similar needs that you already have victory over. The reward is Deut. 1:21, “Behold, the LORD thy God hath set the land before thee: go up and possess it, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath said unto thee; fear not, neither be discouraged.”.

07DELTRCD-8B
Chris Simpson – EMBRACE THE PAIN TO UNHINGE THE DEMONS 2-of-2
Chris begins this excellent teaching with Psalms 36:11 and says its one thing to cut a tree down but another to get the root system out. The Holy Spirit is ever in the business of searching us out and it may take a long time. Demons may have come in even at birth. Deliverance is an all tangled mess, untangled by the Holy Spirit carefully as you would untangle strings of Christmas lights. Remember hurt hurts! We build up defense mechanisms to do things to get rid of the hurt. Deliverance is like getting a splinter out of your hand or it will fester up. We don’t want the needle because it hurts; we had rather have the Neosporin to soften it first because we don’t like to hurt. Satan wants a toe hold, a foot hold and this becomes a stronghold. In Ephesians 4:25-31 we can lay a foundation to embrace the pain to unhinge the demon. We must respond, not react to people’s problems. He explains things that give place to the devil in these verses. Chris tells us religious spirits are one of the finest works of the devil. An example is: you are full of demons and don’t see it but you are fully aware of demons in others. Acts 12:1 demonstrates a principle that the enemy is not satisfied unless he can dominate totally. Psalms 83:2, 3, 5-enemy consolidated to destroy. Psalms 83:6-11 is a very rich passage. Verse 12 tells us the goal of the enemy is to possess control. The enemy secures his hold through lies and deceit. Deliverance is not some quick fix. Rejection and abandonment hurt! Take a look at John 8:31, 32 and vs. 44 – every issue of bondage is a Jesus is Lord or idol issue. Chris gives an example about “mosquitoes”. We must be willing to face and embrace the pain and quit running from it. Embrace the pain and unhinge the demon. Chris shares many interesting examples throughout this teaching and tells us his favorite verse in the bible is II Thessalonians 3:16. God showed Chris Psalms 23 is a road map – vs.1-3 when you come to Christ – initial stage of salvation. But we must leave and go to vs.4. God wants us to grow up, be willing to trudge out of bondage to the valley. Learn to check your spirit and walk in still waters. Thy rod and thy staff-we need correction and reproof. We need to get still and quiet and listen to Him. Verse 5 – the enemy has to watch you eat; where God wants us all to be, full maturity in the Spirit. It is all about obeying God and growing up. Verse 6 – did you know 2 angels accompany you everywhere you go, they are goodness and mercy. Long to be where you can be at peace. In conclusion Chris tells us in I John 1:9 the first 5 words are ours and the rest His. The Holy Ghost wants to keep us to deeper cleansing. He closes with prayer.
07LHCD12-2A – Chris Simpson – THE BLINDNESS OF THE REALITY WE SEE 1-of-2
07LHCD12-2B – Chris Simpson – THE BLINDNESS OF THE REALITY WE SEE 2-of-2
To introduce this teaching, Chris tells of a vision about a candle that he was given a couple of years ago for their ministry. The interpretation told him their ministry was out of balance. They have been teaching deliverance for many years. LHBC has been a “mother-ship” for his ministry in deliverance. But there is another side and that is healing. God gave Chris a Word – “go back to your root”?. He says the key to supernatural healing is compassion, moved with love. We need the Holy Spirit and power, as Jesus, who went about doing good. The definition of doing “good” here is healing all who are oppressed by the devil. Chris always believes it is Jesus’ will that we be healed. The pastor’s job is like going to a gas station and filling up your vehicle. The pastor trains us (fill us up) but then we are to drive our car away, using the fuel to go and do other things. The fuel moves your vehicle. Chris shares some of the teachings of Jesus from Acts 17 and Mark 6; Discipleship 101 and 102. In Mark 8:1, the Lord did the same teaching again because they didn’t get it. He tells us when we allow influences of our culture to come into us we become hardened. One reality we see is that it is harder to heal a brain stem than a headache – but it isn’t. In Matt 15:36, Christ is teaching the disciples a reality. Jesus has called us to heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out devils and cleanse the lepers. PERIOD! Chris closes this excellent teaching with Mark 8:17-21 – this rebuke is to you and me and is warranted today. We are blinded by the reality we see. The Word is given to reprove, correct and rebuke us. What is our calling? Wherever you go just say “I’m available” to Jesus. Chris invites us to go on a “healing safari”. He ends with prayer to open our eyes getting past the blindness of the reality we see.
07LHCD12-5 – Chris Simpson – GOD LIKES YOU RADICAL AND FANATICAL
We live in a fog, a realm of darkness in this world but God has called us to live in the heavenlies. I John 3:22 gives us 2 conditions – 1. Keep His Commandments – love your neighbor as yourself 2. Do things pleasing in His sight – (a) one way is works you think are pleasing to Him (b). Heb. 11:6 is the second way to please Him – by faith which is the key. And the key to faith is persistency. Get out of the box and do faith exploits. Chris shares personal experiences of faith throughout this teaching. Chris gives more illustrations of being radical for God with radical faith. He explains the story of Jonathan’s faith and also another example is David and Goliath. God likes it when you are a “radical fanatical”. You’ll hear what “popcorn prophecy” is. Guess what? The world is your oyster. Jesus wants us out of our comfort level to be available to Him. God has called us to be radical. He gives more scriptures on this as Matt 9:1-2, Mark 2:4, Matt 9:20, 11:11. Acts 10:38 is our call. God is waiting for you. Matt 11:12 – bottom line is true faith is anything but wimpy. Chris prays for God to show us something radically fanatical to do. Concluding with last scriptures, II Sam 7:1-13 which is really where the temple was originated; in David’s mind. He was thinking outside of the box. The key is resistance. If it takes effort, the better it is for you. Faithful ones will get the rewards in heaven. The point he wants to make is do whatever is in your heart. What are you willing to do?

08DELTRCD-4A – Chris Simpson – DELIVERANCE FROM RELIGIOUS SPIRITS 1-of-2
08DELTRCD-4B – Chris Simpson – DELIVERANCE FROM RELIGIOUS SPIRITS 2-of-2
Luke 4 tells of Jesus first sermon; at the end they wanted to kill Him. Sometimes people who really get into deliverance end up weird or religious. The only protection is to be in humble fellowship with brothers and sisters who accept correction and accountability. One of the devil’s major attacks is pride; pride is the greatest thief of the anointing. Matt 23:1-12. Chris says “Jesus is the foot stomper; I am just going to step on toes”. Paul’s thorn in the flesh was to keep him from getting full of himself. To be a leader, you need to be a servant. Let each esteem others better than themselves. The religious spirit is so predominate today. Vs. 11 – true spiritual humility. Isa 65:2 – what God thinks of people with religious spirits. Matt 4 shows us evidences of religious spirits: vs. 2- tend to be judgmental – living by right and wrong and should be living in Jesus, vs.10 – they are exclusive. Religious spirits tend to be drawn to religious spirits. God has called us to be community. Christianity is meant to be 7 days a week. Vs. 32, 33 – religious spirits are full of unbelief. Four symptoms of religious spirits; find it difficult to quickly forgive people, quick to judge and slow to apply the same to themselves, tend to blame others far more than to take responsibility themselves and they often feel judged by others. Chris gives us examples of how religious spirits work in Luke 7:36-41 with key points. Jesus plus anything is demonic. Chris shares his personal Isaiah 6 experience and now he walks in the fear of the Lord. Judgmentalism towards someone is judgmentalism towards Jesus. Mark 14:3 – from the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Rom 14:10 is a picture of Paul’s freedom. The more grace the less legalism. Mercy comes as you repent – grace you cannot earn. Chris closes with prayer to break legalism.

Chris Simpson – PERMANENTLY CLOSING THE DOOR TO DEMONIC RE-ENTRY
Another way to say Prov. 26:2 is, where there is a curse there is a cause. Chris shares a vision he had in the 80’s which was his confirmation that he needed to start a church. He says deliverance itself is not meant to stand alone. He gives illustration that spirits occupy ground. You have to eliminate the SIN. “When you empty the garbage the flies will leave”. It is dangerous to cast out a demon without repentance. You must have discipline in your life. What is a disciple; one that is disciplined. It is stupid to focus on the demon. When you empty your garbage, do you really care what is in it? The fruit of ministry is that people love each other. He shares 7 areas of spiritual regimen (discipline) to permanently close the door to demonic re-entry with scripture and example of each. First principle: Matt 6:14-15 – keep short accounts in your relationships. Second principle: Eph 6:18 – Lock in a daily quiet time; “an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure”. Third principle: II Tim 2:15 – fall in love with God’s Word. Fourth principle: Rom 12:1, 2 – Eliminate mind junk; especially TV, his “TV verses” are Pro 15:14, 21. Fifth principle: Matt 9:15 – Build a fasting regimen in your life; demons hide in flesh and manifest through the flesh when you yield to the flesh. A healthy way to break gluttony is to fast. Chris shares personal experience and stories on fasting. Sixth principle: Jam 5:16 – Open your life to real accountable relationships. Seventh principle: Matt 10:7, 8 at every opportunity give it away. You are in a brighter light that gets brighter as you “give it away”. Focus on someone else and always say “I’m available”.
08LHCD12-10 – Chris Simpson – DELIVERANCE FROM PRIDE
Ps 36:11 Pride wants to get its foot in the door. Chris shares principles and examples of pride in this teaching. In Eph 4:27 “place” means speck. Prov 6:16 gives us 6 of “God’s A-bombs”. Prov 8:13, pride is often behind everything else. Prov 13:10 with pride you never get away from strife. Gen 4:3 a stronghold of sin. Cain was full of rejection. God said your problem is sin. Pride is a deadly, dangerous game to play. I Sam 25:2 in this story of Nabal, David and Abigail, Chris makes the account come alive to show pride and how God’s sovereignty overcame it. Nabal was totally concerned with himself and totally consumed by anger. Pride is a protective shield to keep people from knowing you. The cure for pride is having lots of friends who are not impressed by you. In Gen 4 God stepped in at the anger stage. Cain had “first born rejection”. Have you heard of a “helicopter parent”? It is when parents hover over a new baby. The next example with principles is in Job 32 – 41 Job is humbled but cannot yet hear. God is trying to get the truth to us and we are running from it. Discipleship is mentoring not just living your life alone; loving one another, sharing hearts, you get to be real. Safest place to be is in brokenness before Jesus. Chris prays for the love of Jesus, not pride, so clear crystal water can come forth from our lives and flow out to others.
