05LHCD7-2 – Nathan Hopson – LOOSE HIM AND LET HIM GO
Mark 16:17-18 “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents (satan); and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” Bro. Hopson teaches that the church is an Emergency Room to treat sick and hurting people. He shows how proper church authority, structure, praise and worship, all function together with the Holy Spirit to flow in healing, and deliverance from the power of the enemy for God’s people.
05LHCD7-7A – Nathan Hopson – YOUR SPOKEN CURSES 1-of-2
05LHCD7-7B – Nathan Hopson – YOUR SPOKEN CURSES 2-of-2
Prov 18:21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” The most common causes of curses are words from your own mouth and disobedience to God’s law. The tongue is an unruly evil and full of deadly poison. No man can tame the tongue, but with the help of the Holy Spirit, a person can stop cursing themselves and their family. The words you speak can affect the lives, health and future of you and your children. Bro. Hopson offers suggestions of how to stop cursing yourself and to cancel previous curses.
05LHCD7-12A Nathan Hopson – CHAINS BROKEN THROUGH FASTING 1-of-2
05LHCD7-12B Nathan Hopson – CHAINS BROKEN THROUGH FASTING 2-of-2
Mark 9:29 – And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing,
but by prayer and fasting. – This teaching begins with a discussion of
intercession using Acts 12:2 (praying for Peter’s release from prison). Bro.
Nathan goes on to cover praying for the sick (Jam 5:14-16). He defines fasting
and explains it according to the Hebrew and Greek meanings, and then shows how
fasting combined with prayer, will break the chains of bondage. This service
concludes with both Nathan and his wife, Janie, discussing the marriage covenant
then having the couples in attendance come forward to renew their vows. He
imparts a blessing on the married couples present. Though you were not present
in the service, you can participate at home, renew your vows and be blessed.
This was very good.
05LHCD7-16 – Nathan Hopson – IMPARTING A BLESSING
I Pet 3:9 – “Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.” In Num 6:22-27, the Jesus instructed Aaron and his sons – the priests – to bless His people. Since God has made us a kingdom of priests to Himself (Rev 1:6), we are instructed to bless His people. We must guard our mouths and speak only that which bears grace (blessing) to the hearer (Eph 4:29). As we bless and curse not, we will inherit a blessing.

06LHCD7-1 – Nathan Hopson – DECEPTION
This message begins with the statement that one of the greatest neglects in the church today is the failure to prepare God’s people to deal with deception. Throughout the Scriptures we are warned to beware of deception, but the mentality amongst most believers is that others can be deceived, but that can’t happen to me. The very fact you don’t believe you can be deceived indicates you already are! This message looks at how the New Testament churches were deceived, and also alerts the listener to red flags of deceptive tactics we need to be aware of right now. For example, “I know you think this is what the Word of God says, but that’s really not what it means,” was the tactic satan used on Eve. 2 Cor 11:3 “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ”. That word simplicity refers to singleness, without duplicity. Stay focused on Jesus. Prayers for deliverance conclude this service.
06LHCD7-2L – Janie Hopson – DON’T LET FEAR PARALYZE YOU
This message deals with two kinds of fear – Godly fear and obsessive fear and how each operate and motivate our actions. In Genesis 3:9-10 we are shown where fear originated and by the use of Scriptures, Janie illustrates how demonic fear causes us to respond and how on that, satan builds his kingdom in us. She then shows us how to respond to the demons and encourages us in the Word by showing us others that were afraid. God has good things for us because 1 John 4:10 says, “There is no fear in love but perfect love casteth out fear.”
06LHCD7-3L – Janie Hopson – DEALING WITH LONELINESS
In Genesis we find just how far back the spirit of loneliness goes – even to Adam and Eve where the first separation from God occurred after their disobedience to the Word of God. Janie shares that loneliness through peer pressure, lack of acceptance and even the desire for love can easily come against God’s plan for our lives.
07LHCD7-8 – Nathan Hopson – DOING THE WORKS OF THE KINGDOM
1 Cor 1:1-9 – Unbelief is our hindrance. God is looking for somebody to go somewhere and tell somebody about Jesus. Signs follow believers – if you aren’t moving, nothing is going to follow you. He speaks on grace, truth and repentance. Repent, renounce, and don’t do it anymore. Vs 7 says the gifts operate until Jesus comes. In praying for healing, check for sin in self before laying hands on others. There are many good nuggets in this teaching. A prophet speaks by revelation. A preacher tells the good news. John 14:12 Truth is truth when God says it through His Word. To keep deliverance – stay up, pray up, all other ups to stay clean. Jesus wants us to bring glory to Him so He can bring glory to the Father. Understand this – He is God and you are not. Let God be God and believe He will do what He says. Act like Christian people. Jesus is the door. God is waiting for us to get alone to hear so He can tell us what to do.
06LHCD7-13 – Nathan Hopson – FILL YOUR HORN WITH OIL AND GO!
1 Sam 16:1 “And the LORD said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.” The problem is, most of us are afraid that it won’t work for us. We just don’t have the confidence that God can do what He says He can do. Nathan rehearses the account of T.L. Osborne, who after years of missionary failures, went to a William Branum meeting and heard, “God is who He said He is” and “God will do what He says He can do.” Bro. Osborne got that down in his spirit man, went back to the mission field, and in fifty years service, in seventy countries, planted 10,000 churches with signs and wonders following! To know what God can do you must read the WORD. This message ends with a prayer to stir up the Holy Ghost, for a fresh infilling of the oil of God, to go forth in faith, believing God is able to perform that which He has purposed in your life.
06LHCD7-17 – Nathan Hopson – NO MAN COULD TAME HIM
This message begins with an exhortation to practice praising the Lord – the enemy has to flee when we begin to praise and worship Him! He then speaks about messages that demons teach – little bits of information concerning deception in the church. Out of the institutions of higher learning comes man-made, unscriptural teaching. Be aware! Deception is rampant. He takes us to Mark 5 and points out that Jesus’ boat goes all the way to the other side – storm or not! He tells us that several times, Jesus goes out of His way – away from “God’s people” to minis-ter to them. The focus of this message is the love of God that sends Jesus to the tombs, to set a man free of unclean spirits – the Gadarene demoniac. He couldn’t be contained – even with chains – wore no clothes and slept – lived in the tombs and was cutting himself with stones. Sin – allowed to continue – will cause man to lose all semblances of honor and integrity.

07LCCD2-2 – Janie Hopson – WAR
Janie starts this teaching giving us her acronym for war which is Waging Aggressive Resistance. She tells us God’s Word is our manual to direct our lives. Her text is taken from Ephesians 6:11-18. We are waging war and must have the armor of God in place. We have identified the enemy which is not flesh and blood in Ephesians 6:12. Man’s method of sinning is satan’s method of winning your soul. Satan’s major plan is to keep us ignorant of God’s Word. Remember, if God says it is sin, it is SIN. There are two types of armor – defensive for protection and offensive to defeat the enemy. Janie explains each piece of the armor of God we must have for war. Satan wants our minds on things that feed our flesh. Do not entertain these thoughts. Food for the mind should be the Word of God. The Word of God is alive. She illustrates with personal experiences and scripture telling us what we need to be equipped for war against satan. Satan came to Jesus when He was weak but He spoke the Word of God to him – “It is written”. Janie gives examples of our perception of some things from earlier life including excessive grief and anger. She concludes this excellent teaching with prayer asking the Lord to minister.
07LCCD2-4 – Janie Hopson – LIES, DECEPTION, AND WOMEN
Janie opens this teaching that Satan is a liar. Scripture references John 8:44 and Genesis 3. She says just as Satan deceived Eve, he will deceive us. She shares there are many instances in the Word of God where women influence their men; such as Sarah, Abigail and Esther to name a few. The gift God has given us to influence others can be twisted by satan. There are no harmless lies. Satan’s demonic forces want to keep us ignorant of God’s Word. Low self esteem comes from the pits of hell. We see in John 3:16 and know that God loves us and does not look upon us as a worthless being; we were paid for by the blood of His Son Jesus. In looking at Eve in Genesis, she was striving for herself. But it’s not all about you, it’s about Jesus. Janie shares some about her childhood. She says now that we are godly women we need to be responsible for our choices. Confess sins and admit our own failures. The parable in Matthew 18 shows us that if you forgive not men their trespasses God will not forgive you – v. 35. Matthew Henry’s commentary tells us a Proverbs 31 woman is like a looking glass and hopefully you will see a reflection of the Proverbs 31 woman. Janie recommends a good little book by Kathie Sistrunk, “Woman of Worth”, about a Proverbs 31 woman. She gives us a simple one liner for ladies seeking out a mate: A woman’s heart should be so hidden in Christ that a man should seek Him first to find her. She gives many scripture references including I Thessalonians 5:24, Philippians 2:13 and Mark 11:22-23. Janie closes this interesting teaching, hoping God has brought clarity to the Word. Believe it does exactly what it says it will do. The Word says whatsoever you ask you for you shall have. Recognize lies and deception have become a friend to you and you must be willing to give them up.
07LHCD7-12 – Nathan Hopson – DECEPTION – DOCTRINES THAT DEMONS TEACH
A teacher’s work is to prepare the people to work in the ministry. Satan’s plan is to take away the basics of the church. So many are religious but lost. There is a need in the church for life-changing experiences. 1 Tim 4:1 Nathan deals with some of the doctrines of demons being taught today, starting when satan told Adam – you will surely not die. When the Word, (Spirit) speaks, we need to hear. Get the Word in you. 2 Tim 2:15 The purpose of giving people knowledge is to serve. Be willing to show tough love. Anything that takes away from the price Jesus paid is a doctrine of demons. God demonstrated His love. Learn to discern between what truth is and what isn’t. Who are the most open to a doctrine of demons? Those in rebellion! A door is open. Gal 3:1 We must learn to rightly divide the word of truth. Recognize the untruth inserted into the words of God. Read, read, read and you can recognize error or man’s traditions. The deceived person has the most difficulty receiving truth. 2 Tim 3:13, imposters will grow worse and worse. 1 Tim 4:6 is an example of good doctrine followed. We have the choice to choose good over evil.

08LHCD7-3 – Nathan Hopson – SPIRIT OF HEAVINESS
Nathan shares how in a prison ministry a spirit of heaviness is present. Weariness is always heavy to bear. Depression follows along behind. Everyday the devil wants you to believe you are a loser. If we are self-centered, the cares of this life will have us; the flesh, wallowing in our misery. Nathan says “Get over it”. He shares about a spirit of lethargy in a church and a spoken spirit of weariness in a church; “I’m tired”. Put a guard on your mouth and do not let it infiltrate the congregation. It gives the enemy a legal right to come in the church. How are you dealing with any of these mentioned? Know your enemy and how he works. Times of despair, discouragement, etc. come into our lives from time to time. Rebellion is running from God’s will for your life; nothing works. Nathan shares about physical impairments using a personal experience about his father when he became crippled what he learned about the true values of life. His father never said a negative thing and how others might have become better by this testimony. Other causes might be finances, spiritual regression (back sliding), etc. Nathan shares Rom 8:28 and says He gives us beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning. Christ in you, the hope of glory and gives personal examples of this. We have these times but do not have to stay there. He sent the Comforter and at times has us to comfort others. We need to put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. Sing “How I love Jesus” and the devil scoots. Rejoice in the Lord. Ps 149:1-9. We have the power to execute judgments on demonic forces. Bind, cast out, and rejoice in the Lord. Share the good news. God wants you strong. Jer 31:25-26, 21:3 ? Submit to God. Isa 40:28 – wait on the Lord. Prayer for deliverance from discouraging spirits closes this teaching. . God is waiting for us to get alone to hear so He can tell us what to do.
08LHCD7-6 – Nathan Hopson – THE KINGDOM
The Kingdom of God (Heaven) is mentioned more in the Bible than “church”. The Kingdom is within you and the King, Jesus rules within you. Being born again is in the Bible 3 times. Matt 16:13-19 – vs 19 – the key to the kingdom: – the Holy Ghost revelation that opens the door to the Kingdom; then in the Kingdom (within you). You have access to the keys of the Kingdom. Vs 17 – 1. The revelation John 16:7 telling you that you are lost so you can be born again. 2. The rock – Luke 10:19 you have the authority to trample on the most powerful things the enemy has. 3. The result – the keys of the kingdom. I John 5:14 ask in God’s will; bind and loose. Find out what God’s will is in heaven. John 15:7 Abide in Jesus and know the will of God. We are joint heirs with Jesus. We have what He has. The keys of the kingdom are practical spiritual principles bringing into your life the things God has for you. Jer. 29:11 God has good thoughts for us. If you are hard-headed and stubborn, Nathan says “get over it”. A human body is mostly water. When an unclean spirit goes out of a man to dry places if it is allowed to return, it is looking for its own swimming pool, back to the water. Speak life not death. Get Kingdom mentality. This is what will keep us in the hard times ahead. A quote he uses says, “My God has not forgotten the recipe for Manna”. God wants to work in us His Kingdom principles.

09LHCD5-2 – Nathan Hopson – WHAT HINDERS GOD’S HEALING POWER?
Healing is your inheritance in Christ. “And they shall recover.” (Mk 16:18) Everywhere Jesus went, He cast out demons and healed. When people want prayer, we don’t always deal with the sin question. Nathan shares an example of a young man God sovereignly healed who went back into the world and was in worse shape than before. Healing is always miraculous but not always instantaneous. Why do some receive and others not? Do we question or trust? He is still sovereign and commissions us to do good like Jesus. Signs follow those that believe. Nathan gives other reasons we don?t get healed: The abuse of our bodies as in eating and smoking; stress and anxiety (heart and stomach); if you worry, you die; if you don’t worry you die, so why worry? Overwork – not enough rest or sleep; living in unbelief. It is hard to overcome negative teaching and negative speaking. Quit claiming you have something (sickness or disease). It is imperative we learn to control the tongue. Speak life and not death; health and not illness. Refusal to acknowledge our sin leads to rebellion. Sin leads to more sin and ends in idolatry. Unforgiveness is a main root. Anger and hatred against people who have hurt you; low self esteem. It is hard to get healed with all this junk in you. Face the issues. Repent of all known sins, confess unknown sins. After dealing with these, healing and (I Jn 1:8-9) deliverance can be received. Christians, as a rule, do not really believe the Word of God. Prayer for healing follows.
09LHCD5-10A – Nathan Hopson – RECOGNIZING RELIGIOUS SPIRITS 1-of-2
09LHCD5-10B – Nathan Hopson – RECOGNIZING RELIGIOUS SPIRITS 2-of-2
The word: religion – is used 5 times in the NT; Acts 25:19, 26:5, Col 2:23, Jam 1:26, 27. Nathan shares a little on church history starting with Cain and Abel. Traditions overshadow God’s commandments. Let the wild fires alone, there are always enough blankets to put them out. It is better than no fire. I Cor. 8:9, 10 several modern traditions are described from their beginning. I Cor. 10:14 avoid idolatry, anything between you and God. Demons seek to deceive believers. Doctrines not true to God’s Word are doctrines of demons. Vs. 33 – Ask God to reveal any religious spirits operating in your life. Seducing spirits are coming into churches today. Men would rather be right than righteous. Nathan shares individual aspects of religious spirits; the spirit of Cain – Gen. 4:1-15 – lying, under a curse – rebellion; the spirit of Korah – Num 16:1-50 – jealousy – would not come under authority; the spirit of Jezebel – I Kings 19:2 – manipulation, witchcraft, etc.; the spirit of Eli – compromise, did not call sin what it is; the spirit of Diotrephes – III John 9, 10 – pride, critical of those in leadership, egotistical, controlling, unteachable. Others mentioned were Saul, Alexander, Ananias and Sapphira, Absalom, and Ahab. It is imperative we get free of deception. Nathan closes with corporate deliverance ministry prayers.
09LHCD7-1L – Janie Hopson – SINKING SPELLS
Luke 22:31-32 tells us that satan asked for Peter. Jesus didn’t say that he couldn’t have him. But He did say that HE prayed for him that his faith would not fail. Peter was sifted and we will be too. He failed the test but he repented – really repented and was restored. Jer. 20:7-18 tells us that Jeremiah was sifted also but God was faithful to him and will be faithful to you, also. Then He will use you to give Him glory just as He did Peter and Jeremiah. We had a testimony of a situation concerning a daughter and granddaughter and how God was so faithful. We need to cry out to God, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” Be encouraged! God will always be there for you. Prayer for healing of life’s wounds follow.
09LHCD7-4 – Nathan Hopson – SCRUBBED BY THE WORD
Are we really ready to meet our Lord? Our greatest enemy is our flesh and the demons play havoc with that flesh. What has become of integrity and Christ-like character? God’s people are full of fear. Where has our trust in God gone? Are we trusting instead in guns and extra food supplies or a hiding place? 1st Peter 4:17-19 tells us that repentance must begin at the house of God. Witchcraft is by intellectual means. God equips by 5-fold ministry. 1st Jn 1:8,9 tells us that if we repent, God is faithful and just to cleanse us from our sin and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We are already seated with Him in heavenly places. We need to live like that is true. God takes sin seriously and so must we. There will come a time when there is no more grace. Rev 22:14,15. Ezek 3:17 and 33:7 is a call to be a watchman on the wall. 2 Cor 13:5 says, Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Prove yourselves. Jesus is coming soon.
09LHCD7-6 – Nathan Hopson – AUTHORITY – SUBMISSION
In this message we’re taught the importance of submission. We’re told how being placed in a particular denomination taught the necessity of honoring God-given authority. There seems to be little respect for the pastors today, thanks to the Jezebel spirit. God’s word is clear. Heb 13:17 says, “Obey those that rule over you.” Eph. 4: 11-16 tells us that the 5 Fold ministry has been given for the building of the church of which we are a part. 1Sam 15:22-23 tells us that Saul lost the anointing because of disobedience, even though he remained king. David, on the other hand, honored Saul’s position even though he had lost God’s anointing. Submission qualifies you to be in authority. If you are not in submission, you will not have authority and you may be marked by the enemy. Preparation for leadership includes 2Tim. 2.15 – Study to show yourself approved – learn what your gifts and callings include and where you belong 1st Cor. 1:11-13. Bloom where you are planted!
09LHCD7-12 – Nathan Hopson – SO YOU WANT TO CAST OUT DEMONS
Why do we want to cast out demons? All major revivals lasted 5-6 years except the Argentine revival which lasted 18, and it started with casting out demons. Right reasons: 1) Jesus said to do it, 2) love of God shed abroad in our hearts, Rom 5:5, 3) you want to see people set free. Wrong reasons: 1) thrill of supernatural, 2) personal glory. The teaching goes on to tell us how to do deliverance as well as how not to. He then gives some practical suggestions on praying for deliverance as well as pointers on staying free.
